Good Morning,

Welcome to another issue of our Community Memo where we share fun things to do around town every week.

Hope you had a nice and relaxing Thanksgiving! In the spirit of the holiday, I asked y’all what your favorite dish was and of the responses we got it was tie between Stuffing and Green Bean Casserole.

While far from statistically significant, I find these results fascinating. And I think it’s because more than most the other dishes, their distinctively “Thanksgivingy”. Not many folks eat either of those outside of the holiday, which you can’t say for turkey or mashed potatoes.

It’s interesting how specific things at specific times seem to be the key ingredients to really standing out. But enough of my rambling…

See 67 angel statues illuminating serene setting of Cavalry Cemetery. This event is a drive-thru, so you can stay comfortable in your car as you explore the grounds. In the spirit of giving, they're also accepting non-perishable food donations. These will go towards their food drive for St. Vincent de Paul's food pantry. Learn more here.

❄️ Fairborn Holiday Festival

Join the festive fun in Downtown Fairborn! Families are welcomed to Santa’s Candy Cane Land at Main Street Commons. Kids can enjoy free activities like craft stations and writing letters to Santa, plus snap photos in an inflatable snow globe.

For a small fee, they can also enjoy slides, train rides, and more. Don't miss the tree lighting with Santa at 7pm, kicking off Fairborn's holiday season. Learn more here.

🎄 Kettering Mayor’s Tree Lighting

Join Kettering's community for the mayor's tree lighting ceremony. Witness the Christmas Tree come to life, and listen to the Kettering Children’s Choir singing carols. All while savoring hot chocolate and cookies.
